"Taishi" 「大志」 means "big ambition" in Japanese. Taishi.io initially started with one big ambition: to provide the second best thing you can invest, after yourself. In our first project, we created an automated, one-size-fits-all solution for people who wanted an auto-pilot way to manage their wealth. Our founder grew up with both Thai and Japanese influences and later educated in the West. This mix of cultures gave him a broad view of how different places handle progress both socially and economically. That became the foundation of how we know the gap between what-is and what-ought-to-be.

While we worked on our Fintech project, we noticed a bigger challenge: great solution alone isn’t enough for real change. You also need a culture—inside and outside a company—that’s ready to accept change. Sometimes, industries and norms just aren’t set up to support what-ought-to-be, even if they all agree that it is better than what-is.

We realized that if we truly wanted to change socially and economically, we had to go beyond Fintech. That’s why we turned Taishi.io into an innovation strategy consultancy. Now, we guide companies of all sizes to audit their innovation, and to do different as their new business lines.
